The Shui On Group participates in the Riverside South Development in Manhattan, New York, USA, in which the Group has a 20% interest.

Shui On is part of a consortium for this massive project which comprises some 75 acres of land. Three buildings have been completed. The construction of a luxurious condominium commenced at the end of 2000 and is expected to be completed in about two years’ time. Two other buildings are under planning stage.

When completed it will include 17 residential buildings ranging from 18 storeys to 49 storeys with a total of 5,700 residential units and a 375,000-square-foot retail/commercial complex, plus parking garages within each building for 3,500 cars, making it the largest residential development project in New York. Besides, a 21.5-acre riverfront park extending south of the existing Riverside Park from 72^nd Street to 59^th Street will be developed. This will be the most significant new urban green space in New York since Central Park was created in the 1800s.
