The assessment is carried out jointly by representatives from the organiser and project architects, who inspect all participating construction sites periodically and assess the overall site management, safety, law compliance and environmental measures.

Shui On endeavours to provide a healthy and safe environment to site staff and workers by constantly reviewing its work procedures and methods. The company also conducts frequent training and promotions to raise their awareness of occupational health and safety issues. Through the concerted efforts of its management, site staff, subcontractors and their workers, site safety performance has shown remarkable improvement. Recently, Shui On has also won a gold award and several bronze and merit awards at the "Construction Industry Safety Award Scheme 2002/2003" organised by the Labour Department.
